Verdict: Monolight is the set-price, plug-in infrared cabin option on this site. Buy the One (paid link) ($1,899) if it’s just you and you want the smallest footprint; the Duo (paid link) ($2,399) if two people will share it on a regular 15A outlet; and the Pro (paid link) ($2,999) only if you want the full-spectrum heater mix, a larger room, and you’ve already confirmed a dedicated 20A NEMA 5-20R circuit. Skip the line if you want stones and steam, outdoor use, a long heater warranty, or a custom fit. This review is based on Monolight’s published product pages, FAQ and shipping policy on Oct 15, 2026. We haven’t tested a Monolight sauna ourselves.

Image: MonolightWhat stands out: the smallest cabin (41.3" × 35.4" outside), the lowest draw (1,410W / 13A), and the lowest price. Six carbon panels cover back, sides, bench and floor. Tradeoffs: one seat; 2-year warranty; fixed size; EMF figure lacks units and method.
Image: MonolightWhat stands out: two seats at 47.2" × 41.3" outside without jumping to the Pro’s 20A plug. Same MonoPulse™ carbon layout class as the One, totaling 1,560W / 14A. Tradeoffs: still a short warranty; side-panel watts aren’t itemized on the listing; still indoor-only.
Image: MonolightWhat stands out: largest cabin (51.2" × 47.2" × 78.7"), thicker 8 mm glass door, and MonoGrid™ dual-wave heaters that mix carbon and full-spectrum tubes (2,040W). Tradeoffs: FAQ requires a dedicated 20A circuit and a NEMA 5-20R outlet — it will not run on a standard 15A receptacle. Confirm that outlet before you buy.
Plug and circuit
- One and Duo: product pages list 110V American plugs at 13A and 14A. Monolight’s FAQ calls for a standard 120V, 15A grounded outlet and strongly recommends a dedicated circuit (no shared high-draw appliances; extension cords discouraged).
- Pro: 19A / 2,040W. FAQ: mandatory dedicated 20A circuit and NEMA 5-20R (T-slot). Not compatible with a standard 15A plug.
- Clearance (FAQ): 6" above, 4" behind, 2" on each side.
- Indoor only: FAQ says residential indoor spaces; not bathrooms, poolsides or other high-humidity spots, and not outdoors.
Who should buy which
- One: solo use, tight closet or corner, want a set price under $2,000 and a regular outlet.
- Duo: two regular users, still want a 15A-class plug, don’t need full-spectrum heaters.
- Pro: two users who want the larger cabin and full-spectrum mix, and who already have (or will install) a 20A T-slot outlet.
Who should skip Monolight
- Want stones, steam and 180°F+ air: that’s traditional heat. See the Almost Heaven Logan (paid link) ($3,885 at Select Saunas) or our indoor sauna kits.
- Odd-shaped space or want full-wall custom panels: SaunaCloud (paid link) designs to your room (quote-based; kits $5,000–$15,000+ per its FAQ). Read our SaunaCloud review.
- Need it outdoors: Monolight’s FAQ says indoor only. See outdoor infrared saunas.
- Want a long heater warranty: Monolight’s residential warranty is 2 years; SaunaCloud lists 7 years on heaters.
- Budget under $3,000 for infrared specifically: start with our best infrared saunas under $3,000.
