Verdict: SaunaCloud is for buyers who want an infrared sauna that fits an exact space, like a closet, basement nook or bathroom corner, and who are fine hiring a contractor to build it. You get a design and a quote before you pay, solid cedar, full-wall heater panels and written specs. The tradeoffs are price (SaunaCloud says installed projects typically run $6,000–$17,000), an 8–12 week timeline and no installation service. This review is based on SaunaCloud’s published specs and policies on Oct 13, 2026. We haven’t tested a SaunaCloud sauna ourselves.

Design concept: SaunaCloudWhat stands out: it fits odd spaces that no boxed kit fits, the heater panels cover full walls instead of a few strips, and the spec sheet is unusually candid (it labels its EMF number as an in-house measurement and spells out what the warranty excludes). You see 3D renderings and an itemized quote before committing. Tradeoffs: it costs more than a prefab kit, takes two to three months, and you need your own contractor and electrician. Wood isn’t warrantied.
The four lines

| Line | Style | Size | Lead time | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Atlas | Modern vertical slats, panels behind the wood | Custom, 2-person rooms to 10 ft+ wide; 90" default interior height | 6–10 weeks | The flagship; SaunaCloud says most customers pick it |
| Sierra | Classic window-pane wood design | Custom; 84" default interior height | 7–11 weeks | Upgraded look and wood options |
| Atlas One | One-person | Example: 49.5" W × 52.25" D × 84" H outside | 7–11 weeks | Example config 6kW on 240V; the FAQ says small builds can run on 120V/20A. Your drawing decides |
| Outdoor | Black vertical exterior, site-built frame | Example: 8' × 6' × 8' exterior, seats 3–4 | Per proposal | Example 12kW on 240V; R-8 to R-13 insulation by climate; 3-year roof warranty |
How buying works
- Send rough dimensions, the room and how many people will use it.
- Get 3D renderings and a quote on a personal web page in 24–48 hours (SaunaCloud says founder Christopher Kiggins leads each design).
- Approve the design; production takes about 7–8 weeks.
- The kit ships ($999 flat) with framing, insulation and wiring plans. Your contractor builds it in 1–3 days and a licensed electrician makes the connection.
Who should buy it
- You want infrared and your space is an odd size: a closet, alcove, bathroom corner or a room you’re remodeling.
- You’re already working with a contractor, or building or renovating.
- You care about solid-wood construction, written specs and a heater warranty longer than most kits offer.
Who should skip it
- Want a traditional, 180°F+ stone-heater sauna: SaunaCloud doesn’t make one. See the Almost Heaven Madison (paid link) or our best indoor sauna kits.
- Budget under about $5,000: a prefab kit like the Almost Heaven Logan (paid link) ($3,885 at Select Saunas) costs less. Compare both in SaunaCloud vs Almost Heaven.
- Need it in weeks, or want it installed for you: SaunaCloud takes 8–12 weeks and doesn’t install.
- Not sure which heat you want: start with traditional vs infrared.
FAQ
How much does a SaunaCloud sauna cost?
There’s no price list; every sauna is quoted. SaunaCloud’s FAQ says kits run about $5,000–$15,000+ and installed totals typically $6,000–$17,000, including contractor ($500–$2,000) and electrician ($200–$800) estimates. Shipping is a flat $999.
Does SaunaCloud install the sauna?
No. It ships a kit with detailed plans and electrical drawings, plus phone and portal support. You hire a contractor and a licensed electrician.
What electrical does a SaunaCloud need?
It depends on the design. SaunaCloud’s FAQ says small 1–2 person builds use a dedicated 120V/20A circuit and larger rooms use 240V at 30A or 50A. Your project drawing sets the final requirement.
How hot does a SaunaCloud get?
The VantaWave panels reach up to 190°F at the surface. SaunaCloud says room air in its infrared saunas typically runs 120–145°F, lower than a traditional sauna.
Is there a SaunaCloud coupon code?
No. SaunaCloud says it doesn’t run a public coupon program.
