Verdict: the Pinnacle is the middle of Almost Heaven’s barrel line in the best way: room for up to four people, benches long enough for one person to stretch out, and the same 6kW heater and 30-amp circuit as the 2-person Salem. If it’s only ever one or two of you sitting upright, the Salem saves $1,127 ($5,303 vs $4,176). This review is based on Almost Heaven’s and Select Saunas’ published specs and prices on Oct 13, 2026. We haven’t tested it ourselves.

Image: Select SaunasWhat stands out: 64" facing benches give a group room to sit without bumping knees, or let one person lie back. It runs on the same 240V/30A circuit as the smaller barrels, so you don’t pay for heavier wiring. Select says it reaches 190°F in under 45 minutes. Tradeoffs: it needs a level 6-by-6-foot base, there’s only one bench level (no hotter upper seat like a cabin), and a 715 lb freight delivery means a second pair of hands for unloading and assembly. Select says two people can usually assemble it in six hours or less with a cordless drill.

The Pinnacle costs only about $380 more than the Watoga at Select today but adds 13" of bench and lists a bigger heater, which makes the Watoga hard to pick unless your pad can’t fit 72" deep.
Who should buy it
- Households of three or four, or couples who want room to lie down.
- Anyone who wants a group-size barrel without upgrading to a 40-amp circuit.
- Buyers who like the classic barrel look and a quick heat-up.
Who should skip it
- Mostly one or two people sitting upright: the Almost Heaven Salem (paid link) is $4,176 with the same heater. See Salem vs Pinnacle and our Salem review.
- Five or six people, or you want a porch: the Almost Heaven Huntington (paid link) adds 11" of bench and a canopy porch for about $950 more (our review).
- Want stand-up headroom or two bench levels: look at a cabin like the Almost Heaven Timberline (paid link) and read barrel vs cabin.
- No outdoor space: see indoor home sauna kits.
Before you order
Get an electrician’s quote for the 240V/30A heater circuit and a 110V outlet for the light, and prepare a level, drained base at least 72" × 72" (the cradles are 54" long). Our cold-climate install guide covers the base, wiring and winter use. If you want more heat later, Select sells the Harvia KIP heater (paid link) line separately.
