Verdict: the E6 is the barrel to look at if you’re tall or hate ducking. Its 77" interior diameter gives 6'5" of headroom and room for contoured benches and backrests. But the $4,390 price doesn’t include a heater, so the real cost is closer to $5,600 before installation. This review is based on Select Saunas’ published specs and prices on Oct 9, 2026. We haven’t tested it ourselves.

What stands out: headroom. Most 2–4 person barrels are around 6 feet across inside, so you duck at the door. The E6 is 77" across, which also leaves room for real backrests. Thicker staves than most barrels, a roof kit in the box, two floor drains and app-controlled lighting round it out. Tradeoffs: you choose and buy the heater yourself, it’s heavy (1,103 lbs) for its size, and the 51" length means the bench is short; nobody is lying down in here.

Which heater fits the E6?

By our math, the interior is about 137 cubic feet (a 77" circle × 51" long). Harvia sizes heaters by “adjusted” volume, which adds extra for glass, so the glass door pushes the number up. Here’s how that lines up with the Harvia KIP heaters Select sells:

HeaterPrice at Select*Rated room size (adjusted)Fit for E6
Harvia KIP45B (4.5kW)$1,155100–210 cu ftCovers the raw volume with margin for the glass
Harvia KIP60B (6kW)$1,195170–300 cu ftFits only if glass adjustment puts the room over 170 cu ft

Both have built-in time and temperature dials and an 8-hour delay timer, run on 240V, and need sauna stones bought separately (the KIP60B takes about 50 lbs). SaunaLife’s own E6 page and installation manual don’t publish a heater size (we checked both on Oct 9, 2026), and Select’s listing doesn’t either. Several other SaunaLife dealers list 6kW heaters (such as the HUUM Drop 6 and Harvia KIP60B) as SaunaLife’s recommended pairings for the E6, and some quote a 4.5–6kW range. Confirm with Select before you buy; an undersized heater heats slowly and an oversized one cycles off too often.

Sauna + heaterabout $5,545–$5,585

Then add a 240V circuit, a 120V outlet for the light, a level base and delivery. By comparison, the Almost Heaven Salem is $4,176 with a 6kW heater included, and the Almost Heaven Watoga is $4,922 with a 4.5kW heater (per Select’s listing).

Who should buy it

  • Anyone over about six feet tall, or who wants to stand up inside.
  • Buyers who care about bench and backrest comfort.
