A two-person outdoor sauna is the cheapest way into a real backyard sauna. It needs less yard, less heater and less wiring than a family-size model. We compared five that are sold as two-seaters (one, the SaunaLife E6, is rated for up to three) on what actually separates them: price, heater, power, footprint, wood and warranty. Prices and specs come from each seller’s product page on Oct 9, 2026. We haven’t tested these saunas ourselves.

*Listed price on the seller’s site, Oct 9, 2026. Almost Heaven and SaunaLife models link to Select Saunas, a dealer that pays us a commission; Select doesn’t say which door or lumber its listed price includes, so confirm before you order. SISU and Sun Home links are plain links for now; we earn nothing from them. The SISU roof kit for outdoor use adds $800. Delivery, foundation and electrical work aren’t included in any price.
The picks, with the tradeoffs
The lowest price here with a heater included, and the longest warranty. Red cedar with 1⅜" staves, stainless bands, a 39¼" bench and a 6kW Harvia KIP heater on a 240V/30A circuit. At 47" deep it fits small patios. Tradeoffs: dial controls rather than Wi-Fi, a 6–8 week lead time from Almost Heaven, and no room to lie down. If a third person might join, compare it with the 4-person Almost Heaven Pinnacle (paid link) (Salem vs Pinnacle).
Rated for up to three, with a 6'5" interior height that’s generous for a barrel, in thermo-spruce. Tradeoff: Select’s package contents list no heater, so the real price is $4,390 plus a heater and its wiring. Add that before comparing it with the Salem.
A two-person cedar barrel with a canopy and a 1-ft porch, so you step out of the weather before opening the door. It uses a 4.5kW Harvia heater on 240V/30A. Tradeoff: about $750 more than the Salem for the porch, with a smaller heater.
Built in Ohio from western red cedar, with a HUUM Drop heater you can start from the app. Titan lists 110–230°F, dry or with steam. Tradeoffs: outdoor use needs the $800 roof kit, the warranty is 1 year, and it costs about $3,800 more than the Salem for the same two seats.
The only infrared pick: an aluminum shell with a cedar interior, 0–170°F, on a 240V/20A circuit. Infrared warms you more than the air, so it feels different from a stone-heater sauna; see traditional vs infrared. Tradeoff: it costs more than twice as much as the Salem.
How to choose a 2-person outdoor sauna
- Measure the bench, not the label. “2-person” means two people sitting upright. If you want to lie down, look at a 4-person barrel instead.
- Price the heater and wiring together. Every pick here needs a 240V circuit. A kit without a heater (the E6) isn’t comparable until you add one.
- Warranty varies a lot. Almost Heaven and Sun Home list limited lifetime warranties; Titan lists 1 year.
- Plan the base and roof. Our cold-climate install guide covers foundation, wiring and snow.
