Verdict: Sweat Kingdom makes red cedar outdoor saunas in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and sells them direct as kits you (or a hired crew) put together. The Sweat Pod (paid link) ($6,045 for the Regular with a 6 kW Harvia KIP heater) is its best-reviewed model and the one to look at first if your space is tight; the Sweat Barrel (paid link) ($5,145 for the Regular) is the cheapest way in; the Sweat Cabin (paid link) ($7,445 with an 8 kW heater) is the one that really seats four. The tradeoffs: every order adds a $750 flat freight charge, the warranty is 3 years (Almost Heaven’s is limited lifetime), returns cost you $750–$1,500 in return freight and exclude assembled or discounted units, and owners describe thin assembly instructions. This review is based on Sweat Kingdom’s product pages, warranty, shipping and return policies and FAQ, plus owner posts on Reddit, checked Oct 23, 2026. We haven’t seen or used a Sweat Kingdom sauna in person.

Image: Sweat KingdomWhat stands out: a rounded red cedar cube just 53″ wide and about 61″ deep (Regular), with a cedar beveled roof, a tempered glass door and sauna stones included, and Sweat Kingdom says it can go indoors or outdoors. It had 28 reviews on its page (27 five-star, one four-star), far more than any other Sweat Kingdom model. Owners on Reddit praise the steam and the bench height for the footprint; one six-month owner of a Large Pod with the 8 kW heater reported about 30 minutes to full heat. Tradeoffs: the Regular’s lower bench is only about 10″ deep, more footrest than seat, and the page copy calls it “1–2 Person” even though the size option says 2. Owners say even the Large Pod is comfortable for two, not four. One owner had a warped roof stave that leaked until he sealed it and added a metal roof; another owner of a blackout Large Pod said reaching 190°F from 40°F outside took over two hours. Wi-Fi heater versions cost $7,945 (Regular) and $8,945 (Large).
Image: Sweat KingdomWhat stands out: the cheapest Sweat Kingdom, a 2-person red cedar barrel (6′ long) with a 6 kW Harvia KIP, tempered glass front door, flat interior floor and stones included. It scales to a Large (4 people, $6,145) and XL (6 people, $7,145). Tradeoffs: the roof kit is extra (+$600), every size uses the same 6 kW heater, which is small for the 7′ XL, and the page had just one customer review. Add $750 shipping and the Regular with a roof is $6,495, about $2,300 more than an Almost Heaven Salem at Select Saunas (paid link) ($4,176), a 2-person cedar barrel with a 6 kW Harvia KIP and a limited lifetime warranty.
Image: Sweat KingdomWhat stands out: a 6′ × 6′ cedar cabin with a picture window, glass door, roof included and an 8 kW Harvia KIP, rated for four. A $7,945 version has 7′ walls (89″ tall outside) for more headroom. Tradeoffs: assembly runs 4–5 hours with a crew, and one reviewer said the roof kit came without instructions and needed a table saw. An owner of the 7′ version with a 6 kW Wi-Fi heater said it takes about an hour to reach 185°F when it’s below 50°F outside and that some trim needed extra nailing. The Wi-Fi 9 kW version is $9,245 and needs a 50A circuit.

The fine print worth reading before you buy
- The 30-day trial is narrower than it sounds. You pay return freight ($750–$1,500 by Sweat Kingdom’s estimate), it must go back disassembled in the original packaging, and the policy lists assembled units and discounted or sale items as not returnable. With a sale running, ask in writing whether your order qualifies.
- Cancelling costs money. Before it ships, refunds can be reduced by up to 4.5% in processing fees plus up to $750 in handling. Once it’s in fulfillment, you can’t cancel.
- Not for rentals. The warranty covers personal, residential use only; commercial, rental or shared use isn’t covered, so it’s a poor fit for an Airbnb (see our Airbnb sauna guide).
- Inspect on delivery. Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours.
- Plan the assembly. Owners on Reddit say instructions are thin (one relied on the short video on the site and needed 6.5 hours with a contractor neighbor); others found it easy in about 3 hours with two people.
Who should buy a Sweat Kingdom
- Small patio, one or two people: the Sweat Pod Regular fits a 53″ × 61″ footprint with a roof included.
- You want a cabin shape with a window for four under $8,200 delivered: the Sweat Cabin.
- You like buying from a small U.S. maker and are handy enough to assemble a kit.
Who should skip it
- Best price on a barrel: Almost Heaven barrels at Select Saunas cost less and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
- Rentals or shared use: the warranty excludes them.
- Alaska, Hawaii or outside the U.S.: Sweat Kingdom doesn’t ship there.
- You need it in a month: the listed lead time is 5 weeks, and owners have reported longer.
